Between our visits to Gin Gin and Woorabinda, we spent a day on Great Keppel Island, and also spent a couple of nights at Carnarvan Gorge.
Great Keppel was beautiful! We had a lot of options of how to spend the day. Some of our group spent time doing "water sports" and a few of us went on a glass-bottom boat to view the coral and life at the bottom of the ocean! We were actually at the southern most point of the Great Barrier Reef. It was so cool!! And I saw the biggest fish ever--a cod that was at least 40 lbs. Amazing.
The day was very relaxing. It was nice to get away and just hang out with the family...and a few friends!
Our next vacation time was spent after our time at Woorabinda. We left on Sunday and traveled to Carnarvan Gorge, where we were going to camp for two nights and spend time hiking and such.
For those who weren't crazy about camping, at least they got to see a lot of kangaroos (Vicki)!!!
